"…both Brendan & Lauren came away from the workshop feeling they had learned more about live theatre and look forward in being involved in more workshops."
"Of course we want to do a whole show. There aren't as many big shows that we can do as we are not yet adults. If we can't do a whole show, then being able to work with cast or teachers to learn how to audition, or work on a routine from the show ourselves."
"…I really enjoyed the lighting and sound as well as what happens backstage. It was all so very interesting learning about the musical too!"
"I think Kookaburra Kids, gives us kids who are interested in musical theatre great opportunities to gain knowledge of everything involved in producing a musical theatre production I really enjoyed the workshop and hope to attend many more! For example, our most recent workshop was on the new Australian musical, The Hatpin. There we had the privilege of meeting the writer, director, producer, lighting and audio designer, composer, and performer(and CEO of Kookaburra) Peter Cousens. Following the workshop we saw the show along with a backstage tour to meet the cast. The workshops are incredibly insightful and loads of fun. We get to not only hang out with fellow musical theatre fans, but meet some of the most talented people working in the industry."
"WOW … the past few days have been really incredible…"
"I think it’d be cool for other children to be able to experience what we have just experienced…"
